First, let me explain my shop name. I have a twin sister, and when my Dad called one of his uncles to let him know that my Mom had just given birth to twin girls, my great-uncle responded, "Well, I guess you'll just have to call them Whistle and Thistle."
I am Thistle, and I craft! Welcome to Thistlecraft Designs!!!

I have been making, selling, and teaching crafts most of my 40 years of life. I have experience in many different craft techniques and media, thanks mostly to my Mom and my insatiable desire to learn new things. And while I do create in a variety of media and with a variety of techniques, I do not consider myself a Jack (or Jill) of all trades but master of none. There are things I have not mastered, and you won't find them for sale in my shop! I take great pride in my creations and offer only the best!

Crochet is the first "craft" I learned, and my Mom taught me when I was 5 or 6. It will always be my favorite! Painting is another great love of mine, especially on glass. Collage and decoupage I find to be intriguing, so you will find some of that in my shop as well. Christmas is my favorite holiday, and there will always be some holiday items available. And, there will also be bits and pieces -- projects that catch my fancy or help to keep my creative juices flowing. Finally, because I do have so many different crafting interests, I have accumulated quite a collection of craft books/magazines and supplies, which I will also be sharing in my shop -- have to thin things out every now and then to make room for new stuff!

Oh, and I am a proud member, and Team Leader, of the Etsy Texas Crafters team!
